Incredible Recipe

Anyone who knows me knows, I love to cook. I spend A LOT of time trying to find the best recipes out there. So here is one I think is more than worthy to be jotted down. They really need a better title because they are the most incredible Cinnamon Rolls ever!

The Best Cinnamon Rolls:

Dough-
2 T. yeast
½ c. water, warm
2 c. milk
½ c. butter, no margarine please
½ c. + 2 T. sugar, divided
1½ t. salt
6 c. flour + extra for rolling
2 eggs, beaten

Filling-
½ c. butter, melted
1 ½ c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
cinnamon, enough to generously cover

In a large mixing bowl proof the yeast, water and 2 T. sugar.
While yeast is growing put milk and butter in saucepan and warm enough to melt the butter. Once it is melted slowly add warm milk to beaten eggs, stirring well.
Add milk mixture to yeast and mix. Add salt and flour to yeast and mix with dough hook attachment until combined. Knead dough until workable. You may need to add more flour but keep dough very soft for the best cinnamon rolls.
Allow dough to raise for 1 hour or until doubled in a warm place.
Punch dough down and put on a well floured surface to roll out. Use enough flour to keep dough from sticking. Roll it into a rectangle. Pour melted butter on rolled dough and brush it to cover, sprinkle with sugars and cinnamon. You may add nuts or raisins at this point.
Roll the dough up lengthwise to form a long log. Cut it into equal 1 inch sections and place in greased pans.
Let dough rise a second time for 1 hour or until rolls are doubled.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 mins. Make sure you don't overcook them. While rolls are still warm spread with frosting.
Makes about 3, 9x13 pans.

I have to thank my wonderful neighbor Jen Reading for this recipe that is from her Grandma's neighbor. THANKS!
